Working in a new evolved farming system, Avid Farming are combining all the latest technology in agricultural production which allows us to maximise output on a given area of land, while minimising environmental impact. By achieving huge reductions in water usage, logistical requirements for supply to the farm and to customers, we are able to achieve good profit margins while also setting the standards for the future of agricultural food production.

Food shortages caused by supply chain are slowly emerging and present a problem in the future for consumers. With the predicted phosphorus depletion as near as 2040, fertiliser supply shortages will become a major problem in food production. Our production systems eliminate this problem and allow a sustainable solution for future food production.

Stable supply

Our farming methods provide an all year round indoor farming system in which production can be carefully controlled to meet demand. The vertical growing systems also allow us to produce a far greater yield per square foot compared to outdoor growing systems. This allows us to put less stress on the land in our outdoor food production and work with the natural environment.

Our alley farming techniques for outdoor production allow a diverse crop to be grown with much reduced threat from pests and diseases as our techniques limit spread. We are also able to limit damage from severe weather, allowing a more stable production in the fields. As part of our farming production, we grow produce for tree planting, hedging and for alley farming. This allows us to not only provide a consultancy service, but to assist with supply for planting when farms choose to convert to our growing systems.

Replacing older practices

Our modern growing systems allow us to move away from former farming methods which strip the soil of nutrients, require use of pesticides that are harmful to the environment, use huge quantities of water and require large amounts of fertiliser.

Tree Farming

Avid Farming also grow a wide range of softwood and hardwood trees, along with a variety of species suitable for hedging. Our services include planting and management programs meaning you can leave us to completely manage the entire process. We are also able to sell carbon units produced from planted areas of land on your property, generating further profits for your business.
